Copycat Italian Seasoning Dressing Mix

I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am about this new recipe!!! I love Good Seasons Italian Dressing Mix on EVERYTHING! I like to mix it up as a dressing and pour it over some greens or sprinkle the dry mix on my Italian cauliflower and potatoes! I had all of these ingredients in my spice rack and now that I've just wiped out my stash, I'm headed to Hello!Bulk Markets Foods to go refill my containers in the bulk spices section.

Yields: 1/2 cup mix   |   PREP TIME: 5 mins   |   TOTAL TIME: 5 mins Author: Judith Hannemann

  • 1 tbs. garlic powder
  • 1 tbs onion powder
  • 2 tbs oregano
  • 1 tbs sugar
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • ¼ tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1 tbs parsley
  • ¼ tsp celery seed (see NOTES)
  • 2 tbs salt
To Mix as Dressing:
  • 2 tbs mix
  • ¼ cup vinegar
  • ⅔ cup oil
  • 2 tbs water
Mix all ingredients together and store in an airtight container.

For "zesty" variety: add a pinch (scant ⅛ tsp) of red pepper flakes.
For intensely garlic flavor: Add 1 tsp dehydrated minced garlic to the mix.
The same amount of celery salt may be substituted for the seed, however, make sure to subtract ¼ tsp of the salt called for in the recipe.
